Son of Bob and Winnie Davidson

DAVIDSON, Robert Michael (Rob), 50 The family of Rob Davidson is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Saturday, July 31, 2010. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Ottawa General Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 24, 1959, he was the oldest child of Robert and Winifred Davidson, Ottawa. Rob grew up in East River, Nova Scotia and after living in Halifax for several years, settled in Mount Uniacke, NS. Rob's interests were many and he approached them as he did life in general, with passion and enthusiasm. Along with a gift for writing, he was a talented musician and played with several bands throughout his life. Rob was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed woodworking. He also loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Rob had an effortless charisma; his warm smile and quick sense of humour instantly charmed all who met him. Rob gave the gift of laughter generously and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Carmen (Jewers), Ottawa; his twin sons Dylan and Damien Teed, 28, Connecticut; his parents Bob and Winnie, Ottawa; sister Cheryl, Ottawa, and brother Shawn (Lee Davidson), Mount Uniacke, NS. Rob was a proud grandfather to Nathan and Riley and beloved uncle to Alexander, Olivia and Fraser. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Ottawa Cremation Service in Ottawa.
