Keith Pugh, age 87 of Kingston, NS passed away June 4, 2017 at home. Keith was a friend of Bill W. for 40 years. Born in Westport, Brier Island, he was a son of the late Edward and Ruth (Buckman) Pugh. Keith was a teacher, a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and a Telecom Technician with the Department of External Affairs. He was fortunate to live in Cairo, Paris, Pakistan, Washington, DC and Ottawa until retirement brought him to Kingston. He was a strong advocate for addiction services at Soldiers Memorial Hospital and the MAC Centre in North Kingston. Keith was loved and cared for by his niece, Martha (Watson) Armstrong and their family. He is survived by sister-in-law Lee Pugh, Whitehorse, Yukon and many nieces and nephews across the country. He was predeceased by his father and mother; sisters Evelyn Saunders and Miriam Thomas; brothers Lester, Clayton and Sidney. By request, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Keith will be taken home to Westport, Brier Island for interment at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the MAC Centre, North Kingston or a charity of choice.
