COLE, Eleanor.
Peacefully in the Ottawa Civic Hospital on August 6th, 2005. A quiet and
gentle woman who leaves behind her broken hearted husband of 50 years, Donald.
She is survived by her devoted daughter and best friend Mary-Ann (Christopher
Harnel), her loving sons Donald (Louise), Brian (Sue), Garry (Anita), and Tom
(Jackie). She was predeceased by her beloved twin sons David and Richard, who
were accidentally killed at age 16 on June 19th, 1979. Eleanor was born in a
granary on parents farm in Camp Morton, Manitoba on July 8th, 1933. At the age
of 17, she taught grades 1 to 8 in a one room school house. She met her
husband Donald in 1952 and was married April 9th, 1955. She will be sadly
missed by her grandchildren Carolynn, Chris, Tina, Allison, Scott, Jimmy,
Jennifer, David, Danica, Sasha and Damon, 3 great-grandchildren and many other
relatives and friends, Family will receive friends at the Pinecrest Visitation
Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Monday, August 8th from 7 to 9 p.m. and
on Tuesday, August 9th from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the
Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel on Wednesday August 10th at 11 a.m. Interment
will be followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations to the
Childrens' Wish Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
