Friends and colleagues of Fred Snow were saddened to learn of his death from a heart attack in Ottawa on January 16, 1998, at the age of 65 years. Fred joined the Foreign Service as a technician, serving abroad in New Delhi, Tokyo, London and at Headquarters before retiring. As one of the Regional Technical Managers in the former Telecommunications Division, he was well known throughout the department and notably amongst the EL and CM groups. He is survived by Yvonne, Mark and Christine.
The funeral was held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Sunday January 18. Those wishing may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Ottawa District Chapter.
