Michel Trepanier 14 September 2011
Michel, often called Mike, Michael, and
sometimes Mixalis because of all the years he spent in Greece, has retired at
the young age of 55 after eight and half years serving with DND and twenty
nine years with DFAIT. He chose to retire quietly and celebrate with the
Old Farts on Wednesday September 14th, 2011. Regrettably, while everyone had a
wonderful time, no pictures were taken. Michel joined the
department in 1982 as an EL and after many terrific years serving the
department in various capacities, he is now embarking on a second career as a
retiree. As he turns the page, he plans on spending much time in Florida
during the winter and his summers in his beloved Canada. His motto
" If you have to do something, do it right and have fun doing it."
While his contributions to the department are many, his home parties are
legendary. While Michel remains committed to his family and close
friends, he promises to drop in at the old Farts whenever he can. We
wish him health, and a very happy retirement with many new adventures.
We are posting a few pictures of Michel taken over the years.
